If you’ve been shopping around for a new mattress in the last year, you’ve no doubt heard of bedding company Purple, and their infamous raw egg test video, which has to date racked up an impressive 12 million views.
Heralded as a game-changing product, the Purple mattress is made of a material called “Hyper-Elastic Polymer™” arranged in a grid system, and looks not unlike a giant purple waffle.
Whereas normally mattress choice is based on deciding if you want hard, medium or soft cushioning, Purple’s polymer top layer construction does away with these compromises, conforming exactly to your body’s pressure points, whilst at the same time giving you an unprecedented level of support and comfort.
Now, riding high on their success, Purple have brought out their second innovative product, the Purple Pillow, billed as the ‘World’s First No-Pressure Head Bed’.
Weighing a hefty 10 pounds (4.5 kilos) the pillow is made of the same Hyper-Elastic Polymer™ and is designed to offer proper neck support and forever banish the memory of flat, lumpy or hot pillows that are often, as their video claims, ‘full of garbage’
Like their first product, the Purple pillow has been a massive success so far, raising over $2 million on Kickstarter, making it one of the crowdfunding site’s biggest launches.
If you want to get in on the Purple action, check out their pledge page, there’s only a few days left to go.
